Nokonoshima Island Pottery Studio

On Nokonoshima Island, just off the port of Fukuoka, southern Japan is a small pottery studio. During an afternoon in April I had the pleasure of capturing the studio and its residents as they prepare to put their new work in the kiln. I wanted this film to be rough, not over-polished and varied, much like the pottery being made. I hope it gives a small glimpse into the small but beautiful parts of life and our connection with physical art.
